Lane WILLSON, elderst son of Col. SC Willson of this city, died at his residence in Indianapolis on Wed morning March 17th. His disease was inflammation of the brain and his illness but for a few hours duration. His remains were brought to his old home for interment and deposited in the New School Cemetery on the afternoon of Thursday; services taking place at the familyr esidence. Lane's age was aobut 33 years. - transcribed by kbz

Lane Willson, son of Col. S. C. Willson, died suddenly at his home in Indianapolis on the morning of the 17th of inflammation of the brain. The news of this sudden and unexpected event came like a shock to the relatives and friends at this place. Lane had got up on Tuesday morning in his usual health, but during the day was attacked with a several head which was accompanied toward evening by violent contraction of the muscles. He remained in this condition during the night suffering greatly in spite of all attempts to relieve him and died in the morning. The remains were brought here for interment and the funeral was conducted from the residence of his father on Thursday afternoon – Crawfordsville Journal.  The deceased resided here at one time, and will be remembered by many of our citizens. - kbz
